In our recent project, Laudable Production House ventured into the heart of Nepal to document the profound connections between doctors and patients at Purvanchal Cancer Hospital. Armed with our equipment and a commitment to storytelling, we set out to portray the essence of empathy within the hospital’s walls.
Casting played a pivotal role in our endeavour, as we carefully selected patients whose emotions spoke volumes and doctors who shared their experiences with unwavering confidence. Our first shoot captured testimonials from these doctors, providing insights that shaped the visual narrative of our project.
Meeting the hospital’s founder in our second shoot unveiled the stories and motivations driving the hospital’s mission, guiding our creative vision. Over two intense weeks, we immersed ourselves in the hospital’s rhythms, capturing moments of connection and resilience.
Though challenges arose, from logistical complexities to the need for sensitivity in patient privacy, each obstacle deepened our appreciation for Purvanchal Cancer Hospital’s work. As we wrapped up, we carried not just footage, but a profound sense of gratitude and a renewed belief in the power of storytelling to inspire empathy and change lives.
